The Gods
The Great Ones
Gods is simply a shortened version of 'Great Ones'.
Humans refer to them as The Venerated Gods. They are responsible for overseeing the Petalyths and all of humanity as well as the land of Iveria. They are typically very lax when it comes to keeping an eye on the continent. The Gods assign the responsibility of making most major decisions to the spirits. They intervene only when absolutely necessary, like during times of war or when the Absence get wildly out of control.
Humans worship them and have built temples in their name. The Gods rarely, if ever, acknowledge them though. They do not listen to the human's prayers or wishes unless it works in their favour, or if a spirit requests for them to help. The Gods have no love left for humanity.
Gods possess no organs, no bones and no blood. Their entire body is made of dust. As a result, they cannot be killed. Any damage taken can be repaired in the blink of an eye. They are also able to take over someone else's body and change their appearances at will.
They live in the sky and represent the 4 celestial bodies. The Gods rarely ever show their true selves. Instead, they prefer to communicate via a proxy which tend to resemble regular animals with a few enchanting traits.
They are, in order from oldest to youngest:
Serenym is the creator of the world and the Gods. They are often seen as the 'parent' of existence itself. Serenym represents the sky and galaxy, the sparkle of their feathers create the stars. They're usually associated with birds in general. At their full size, they cover the entirety of the galaxy. They have departed the world a long time ago.
