Elysium
The place where dreams come to rest.
The first realm created by Serenym. The true home of the Gods and Petalyths.
It appears as an eternally stretching plain covered in 3 inches (7 cm) of water. The realm is bathed in the golden glow of a sunset with clouds hanging overhead. The Gods and Petalyths see the realm for what it truly is while humans don't. Time in Elysium moves both forwards and backwards. Living humans will not be able to age or die from anything here.
The realm shifts its appearance to suit the needs of the humans within. As it's also known as the land of the dead, souls of the deceased come here to rest. The labyrinth takes on the form of the place where the soul was happiest. On occasion, multiple souls may reside within the same labyrinth.
Elysium is divided into two shores. The Near Shore encompasses the entire living realm and all creatures within it, including The Absence. The Far Shore consists of Elysium itself. Known as the point of no return, living humans that wander into the Far Shore will never be able to return to reality. Only Petalyths and the gods are able to pass through the Far Shore without issue. It's also the true home for both Petalyths and Gods. The gate in Eden connects to the Far Shore.
